Well my friends, I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. They warned me that the fifth and final year would be busy, but it still does not prepare you for the amount of time you are committed to uni. I am now so very busy but for different reasons. Does anyone know how to go about becoming a citizen in Australia? In other words, if I graduate as a vet from Murdoch, would I automatically be able to practice as a vet there (coming from the U.S.), or are there other steps involved? Would I receive the same health benefits as a regular citizen, after graduating? I've heard that retirement benefits are fairly good in Australia, compared to the U.S. Once I became a citizen, would the same benefits apply to me, or is that only for native citizens… Continue
Does anyone know if you get a good amount of wildlife experience as a vet student at Murdoch (compared to other vet schools)? It seems like it, from the pictures and the websites, but I know they can sometimes be a little misleading.

1) Any advice on how to go about finding affordable, pet-friendly housing around Murdoch University? How much is rent and utilities in Perth, generally? Is is difficult to find vacant rentals?
